I am currently working on a 4-bit computer. The desired specs are:
* 4-bit opcode for a max of
4^2=16 functions
* 4-bit operands
* support add and subtract
* 12 bits of RAM

You are talking about a 4-bit memory bank

I am making a computer that can execute instructions.
I will only be using memory banks as a memory address
decoder and as a Programmable Logic Unit for the
CU(Control Unit).

edit
I will be making 8 bits I decided because 4 bits isn't
enough to easily provide all of the functions
I want and there would be limited RAM

I decided when building on the top platform that it
would be easier to make the bottom subtractors
instead of the top. So The top platform of 8-bit adders
is almost done and the conversion to subtractors on
the bottom is complete.

I will not be able to work on this for quite a while. The tennis season just started at my school and I won't have time.

Ugh. It looks like yet another well-meaning builder got sidetracked and yet another computer attempt is aborted.
