We mods've been talking about this, but sadly, I don't think anything's going to happen.

So, the object is to make the competition complex enough that its interesting, but simple enough that you don't have to be a master electrician or anything to compete, correct?

Edit: I didn't see how old this thread was before posting, but I'll still brainstorm nonetheless. Maybe tiers to solve the problem I mentioned in the original comment?Like Novice, Intermediate, and Expert competitions, then each tier divided into like architecture, terraforming, electrics, sculpture, villages/cities, etc...

2nd Edit: Firstly sorry for the double post, but as you can see I've tried to work around that with edits. Secondly, with a tier and category system like that we could hold monthly competitions for any category that had enough entries to poll. Minimum standard seems to be 3. That way the dwindling activity on the forums wouldn't hurt the competitions as badly, since we'd only poll the ones with enough entries. Also, the recurring nature of the competitions(monthly) would encourage any users that entered more than one time to expand their horizons and try different builds to take the win, and eventually they'd be good enough to move up a tier, and so on...

An apocalyptic city, a simulated fight, or an animal arena.

Raccoon, why are you so determined to skyrocket your total number of times posted, after a title / rank of some kind? Or what's up???

I'm not, if that were my only motivation I would post about three times as much and say about one third as much. You asked about themes, I supplied suggestions. I'm not just trying to chase after some title, I'm trying to help the survivalcraft community grow and thrive. I'm sorry if I appear to be chasing some title, but I guess I'm just a talkative kind of guy.

Didn't mean to sound as if I was accusing or interrogating you, sorry... :-\
I just noticed and was curious.

I'd definitely consider myself a diehard and it is always nice to see more activity on the forum...! I would absolutely love to see a spike in the SC community and activities!!! I've tried a few small things and I have plans for some more, very soon.
I believe we can, we're just not as well known as you know who. Lol.. I've also noticed fans are spread out over a number of sites, but we'll get there soon enough.

Once I tried making a simulated dragon fight. You had to push or shoot buttons to defeat it, you could try something like that.
