Yes, as stanimus said, food cannot be refrigerated, as it's never mentioned in the help section and food rot has a specfic "timer" to when it will go rotten, usually in a few days.

I think the general issue is that Kaalua added new challenges, but did not add any way to defeat these challenges so they just loom over you and beat you down. It'a game design 101: if you add a new boss, for example, you need to give the character better weapons to combat it.

Kaalus should've went for basic sawdust 'refrigeration', which is true to how people used to refrigerate back then. And so on.

Player of the game for four years straight. Somehow an admin.

You're absolutely right, kaalus did not add medicine nor food preservation technology. I'm not sure what he plans to do for 2.2, nobody does, but I actually want 2.2 to have some sort of way to combat the new challenges he added, like you said. Maybe I'll even add my own in the feature requests sub-forum. If kaalus keeps adding more and more survival challenges it's going to make the game exponentially harder with each update.

Shoot, he could even let us make snow or ice fridges! We'd have to fill it with snow or ice once a month, rather than collect new food every few days. It would still be a challenge - we'd have to brave the cold and risk flu. Maybe it would only hold 4 short stacks, so we still couldn't horde food forever and if the ice ran out it all would rot in a day.

I would love to see electricity in "furniture" thing. For example "corner wire through stone" would be great for me! It could work like if I used copper block it would turn into wire (when created a block of that big !#%! I have to make every time I want something million times smaller :D )
Another thing I would love to see is fully functional furniture - especially closets, shelves and so on...
Easier manual how to make some color would be nice too. (at least to add a description to each color next to a picture of crafting it, so I could find out, which color it actually is)
Anyway...SC 2 is so good. I tried the DEMO and I was so amazed! I love the sickness, illness and so on!!! So cool! The game is already getting to that hardcore survival game I'm searching for! (I don't have to live in winter biome only anymore! Brilliant!
