@beboy: we haven't upgraded yet. The others are on iOS so they don't even have it and I use Amazon so only got it recently.
I did upgrade to test it out and was very depressed over the changes. Flu and sickness basically break the game. I tried 11 times in cruel and was only able to last through a 2nd night once. Hat was only because the pseudo-random world happened to have a big warm biome at the drop off point. Almost all the others gave me sick or flu on the very first day and I was dead by the end of the 2nd. Really sucks!

This month was very tragic for our village. We lost 4 people before the first nightfall! By month's end, there were 3 more tragedies. We must always remember this is a cruel and hostile world.
Due in part to these losses, our advancement was minimal. Further compounding the problem was the fact that the Furniture Store was understocked for our needs. Our plan was to improve the open market in town but the missing supplies prevented completion of that task. Instead, we did as much as we could and did some routine work.
Our goals for the future now include a further modification to the Furniture Factory Frameworks. It was noticed that several piranha spawned in the safety pool and it is our hope that by replacing the top layer of sand under the water with glass will eliminate this threat. It will require a great effort but may be worthwhile.

The Central Council of the Phoenix Federation world is pleased to announce that again we persevere in the face of great adversity. We struggled through many challenges including an evil despot who set out to destroy our government. We have faced adversity in many forms brought by the very world. This has all made us stronger and more determined.
Now, we face a worldwide shift of climate and biology. The creator calls this 2.1 but that means nothing to us. What we do know is that it will take the cooperation of all our members to survive profitability in this new situation.
We do expect things to be tough going, especially as the people get accustomed to these grave changes. However, with the support of our fellows the people will not only survive, but will thrive!

That depends on what you mean by 'here'. She's still active with the Phoenix Federation world but she's given up on this buggy website. Lefora has been so unreliable we've moved all our official communications elsewhere.

Once again we found ourselves adrift, without purpose. It is as though nobody is giving us direction.
Our envoy ran to the newly constructed community farm to grab a bit of food. We thank the people of Berclavia for providing this boon. She then stopped at the bank as usual and made her way to the stables to pick up the usual horse, only to find no horses were available. Instead she got a rotten egg! What kind of insult is this? Fortunately there were several wild horses roaming the area and she saddled one of these and began her trek.
Stopping at the Post for the night, she purchased several clothing items from Berclavia Outfitters then dispatched the animals which bred in the crawl space above the Post. It may behoove us to amend construction to eliminate this spawning ground as it can be disturbing to hear the sounds of these beasts all night long. It also seemed colder than usual in both our General Store and Berclavia's Outfitters. We will have to install additional heating units for the comfort of our tenants and visitors.
Once back at home, our enthusiasm waned and we were listless again. We did manage to expand the underground infrastructure a bit, to cull a few trees and gather just a little food. Then, before we knew it, it was time to return to the Tavern.
We really must encourage our master planner to actually have  a plan for our next visit!

This month showed some tangible advancement in our village!

After collecting our disbersement, the envoy checked the community stables. Lady luck must have been smiling as there was a horse ready in the stable. She paid our fee and rode to the Trading Post. The crawl space/duct works in the Post was then upgraded to prevent animal encroachment and an additional heating unit was installed. This should ensure proper warmth to all our tenants and visitors.

Our envoy returned home and was greeted with lousy weather. While it rained outside, we continued improvements and extentions to our underground infrastructure. After the rains finally ceased, we could begin construction of the newest public structure - a water fountain. Our master planner had a concept but it did not perform as expected. However with some minor modifications, it performed adequately. Sadly, this was all the time we had this month. At least we do have something to show for our efforts.
