A great feature for showcasing worlds made in SurvivalCraft would be a theater mode. In "Theater Mode" the HUD / UI would be completely gone. The user would be able to move around the map without seeing the inventory slots, control icons, etc. The only way to pause or exit out of the game would be by predetermined location or a minuscule button on the screen.
The reason behind is for recording / display purposes. I made a video earlier that would benefit from this.
If I had had access to a feature similar to theater mode I could have delivered a more clear look at the world. Another option would be to take screenshots (which I did), but I feel that they just don't amount to what a video could do. The closest that I have to a completely clean screen for recording is being able to hide the move and look pads. I would greatly appreciate something like this being implemented.
My first idea was pretty basic. Just an empty screen. But I think my next ideas would make Theater Mode an even more amazing addition.
-The Ability to Move on a Preset Path (Flying/Walking)
-The Ability to "Lock On" to a Set Target
-The Ability to Go Back to a Starting Position w/ the Same Orientation
With the ability move on a preset path, you could set a few key points around the world, then let your character take a straight line from point to point. This would completely automate your movement around the map.
With the ability to lock your eyes onto a set location, you could rotate around any structure without ever losing the point of interest.
With the ability to return to your starting position, you could essentially turn yourself into a stopmotion camera. It would be useful for time lapses and animations.
Thanks for Reading, I Hope You Enjoyed My Ideas.
But, I must include one last crazy idea. - a "Multiplayer" mode for the theater mode where the second user is essentially nothing but a camera, but still has all of the above abilties.
