Here's what I'm trying to do: have NPCs (from Medieval People furniture pack) to be able to talk. I placed a pressure plate in front of them, connected to a sign underground.
The problem: I still can't chain signs. Say I have four connected signs and I want one to pop up on the screen after the other, but stepping on the plate only shows one of the sign's text. I tried using delay gates but there's just something I'm missing. Halp?

Show us the set-up with a screenshot. It's a bit hard to pin-point an error.

As it is, imagine two rows, top and bottom. Run this on the bottom row: wire, delay gate, wire, elay gate singularly in a repeat pattern.
On the top row, place your sign above a wire, not the delay gate.

As long as the wires connects to the sign and the delay gate, it should be good.

This is how I make them compact. It's the same circuit Haziq showed but squashed as tight as possible. I use these in all my tutorial worlds. Make all the (adjustable) delay gates maximum and it gives the reader 5 seconds for each sign, which should be enough.

Sorry for the late reply. I would post a pic but I can't figure out how to post pics from mobile. I'll try the examples given though, thanks.
