Never thought that mysterious thing is a rotten egg! Haha! Lol... And I think there is a thread about the sighmoon's discovery here somewhere and that pumpkin is actually a rotten one! And that's Kaalus' survival enhancement for us. What do you all think? I think this is a great feature 'cause i usually keep my pumpkins in chests, always. But there is a bad thing about this. When an adventure map needed food for something so, how are we gonna do it? And for multiplayer. I never wanted a split-screen multiplayer. I want more. The online one! Hope he work out this ASAP.

This pertains to sc and hence moved it to sc disc from gen disc

I mean its nice hes finally moving. Pretty basic stuff but multiplayer is looking somewhat feasible now.

Yea, it does increase the challenge factor somewhat. Slightly. We'll see how long it takes for food to rot, if it's different for each food type and whether there's a preservative method. My cruel worlds usually get boring once I'm established enough to build up a supply of food but I'm not sure if this would really make a difference. I see a possible way 'around' this. Assuming flour is not technically a food and won't rot, we could keep a store of flour and just make bread as needed. This is also more realistic. Properly stored, flour will last years. But this would also mean that the elusive saltpeter would become even more valuable.
I'm more curious because he said this is "one of the" new survival mechanics...

...it looks promising

I've noticed in one of the screenshots what appears to be a winding river and and different terrain arrangement.

Could this be the terrain generation/biome overhaul we've been begging years for?

Also, when will Kaalus finally add fishing rods and equipment? As that would make fishing much easier...

@stan yeah, i agreed with you. I dont usually use Saltpeter before but this update, i think i'll use them.
@tink fishing rods are good, no doubt. But , i'm afraid that the old speculation comes out again. The speculation about SC is copying MC.

And also have you all noticed the UI? Awesome! It hides first, and when we click, it appears out! Arghh... Cant wait for 2.1.

Can we still feed rotten food to pigs or predators? If so, that would be a thing to do with it, and keep people from worrying about what do do with their bad food.

That's still a big question. If its can, it would be realistic and fun to see animals sick.
