What i discovered today is that suvivalcraft is using only 1 cpu core!
My cpu has 4 cores.
Im using cpu monitoring app that shows cpu usage per core.while playing this game it shows that all other 3 cores are idle or at 2 % usage.

This is pretty interresting; however, game rarely lags, and main problem is ram, not processor, at least on modern devices.

Core usage is a function of how the program or OS was written.  If you  have a quad-core CPU and only 1 is in use then I'm certain that is the case for every device using the same version of the OS as yours.  Most of us aren't seeing issues.

Hardware wise, Ram, as mentioned above, is a factor, as is the GPU (Graphics Processor) used in your device.  What is your device?  We can look up it's default specs to give you additional suggestions of what to look for.

Then there's your answer.

SC is written to only use one core.  Kaalus probably hasn't worked on multicore support yet since it's not an improvement everyone will benefit from, and unlike most device manufacturers he probably isn't into forcing yearly hardware replacement for minimal performance improvement.

It's kind of like the PC games market... If they write a game requiring a multicore CPU they'll face a class action suit for refunds (and possibly damages) because people don't read hardware requirements anymore and would probably try to load it on their Win98 vintage system.

He does have a point in how a lot of people who don't have multicore phones and there is always one idiot who thinks his hardwear could match the game but lag could also be due to the GPU u are using I use the adreno 320 and that does not lag one bit (along with Snapdragon s4 1.7ghz dual and 1gb ram.)

Survivalcraft 1.22 is using one core for rendering/terrain updates/physics and one for pathfinding.
Survivalcraft 1.23 will be using up to 3 cores, with terrain updates delegated to a separate thread. This makes a fairly noticeable difference on multicore devices, increasing smoothness when moving around. The change was necessary to support larger viewing distances enabled in 1.23.
The game is generally designed to be playable on 2010-vintage 1GHz single core phones, so there is no big reliance on having multiple cores.

Yeah, with 1gb of RAM,you shouldn't have any problems on playing the game,I tried playing SC on a 512mb RAM phone and didn't experienced any problems.
